Nokia seems to be working on its very own Haptic feedback mechanism for its new line of touch-enabled phones. The details of this technology are sketchy but there is talk of a new phone from the Nokia stable codenamed ‘Eitri’. This phone is supposed to feature a tactile touch screen, along with some cool technology under its belt, like the feeling of rough surfaces on the screen when scrolling or even typing away. The phone features a QWERTY candy bar with a 640x350 display and 5-megapixel camera, an integrated compass, accelerometer, a proximity sensor and finally a FM transmitter.
The Nokia Eitri could be announced for an early 2009 demo or even a surprise launch, who knows.
